So far, Alberta has invited 320 Express Entry Candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence. The two draws took place on April 1 and April 14.
Candidates did not need to have a job offer to be invited. However, they did need to have profiles in the federal Express Entry EE system.
The lowest Express Entry Score (CRS) requirement was 353 for the April 14 draw, where 200 EE candidates were invited to apply for a provincial nomination from Alberta.
Based on available profile information in the Express Entry portal, Alberta may select candidates and send them a Notification of Interest letter in their federal Express Entry profile. This information is self-declared by candidates in the Express Entry pool.
