The recently released credentials wallet prevents theft, fraud, loss and delay and revolutionizes the exchange of transcripts and other student information.
The new system called MyCreds was ordered by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC).
It allows students to securely store, view, track and share official certificates, diplomas, ID cards and other identification documents.
The platform and website are operated by two Vancouver-based companies: Digitary and Split Mango.
Students will be able to access their credentials as their post-secondary institution joins the platform and notifies them their digital wallet is available.
The platform promises to offer bilingual services (French and English).
This tool may be also helpful to international students to quickly get access to all documents they need.
