On January 8, 2020, Canada held the first invitation round in the Express Entry system in 2020. In round #134, IRCC issued 3,400 Invitations to Apply (ITA). The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System score for this round increased for four points and reached 473 points. The tie-breaking rule for this round was December 27, 2019 at 13:35:09 UTC. As of January 6, 2020, there are 138,955 profiles in the pool of candidates, 4,313 more compared to the previous round. In 2019, IRCC invited 85,300 foreign nationals to apply for the permanent residence. The target for this year is 85,800 ITAs.
