On April 9, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry invitation round. In round #141, Canada issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence to 606 candidates, where the Comprehensive Ranking System score decreased by 22 points. All invited candidates were eligible for the Provincial Nominee Program, and no Federal Skilled Worker or Federal Skilled Trades candidates have been invited. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System score in this draw was 698 points. The tie-breaking rule for this round was December 18, 2019, at 11:25:51 UTC. IRCC has also updated the breakdown table of the CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool.
If you are 40 years old and hold a Bachelor's degree and advances English language exam results, you have work experience in software engineering for more than six years, and you submitted your Express Entry profile. Even if you never worked or studied in Canada, you could have received a nomination from the BC provincial nominee programme. Once BC PNP has nominated you, you would have received an additional 600 points to your Express Entry scoring that made you eligible to obtain an Invitation to Apply in the express entry draw # 141.
