On June 26, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an unexpected Express Entry invitation round. In round #154, Canada issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence to 3,508 candidates. This draw was the lowest Express Entry Draw for CEC since May 2017. All invited candidates were eligible for the Canadian Experience Class program CEC, which is open to foreign nationals with at least one year of work experience in Canada. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System score in this draw was 431 points, a decrease from the last CSC draw that took place on June 11, 2020, with a mark of 437, The tie-breaking rule for this round was April 3, 2020 at 12:56:32 UTC.
This is the eighth draw that issued ITA to candidates eligible under the CEC program, most probably because they are already in Canada during this period of restriction to fly into Canada from other countries.
On June 25, 2020, 392 ITAs were issued to candidates with Provincial Nomination Certificate from the Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP). The CSR score was 696.
