On August 2, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw, selecting candidates for French language proficiency. In round #260, IRCC issued 800 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates. The cut-off score of this draw was 435 points, 60 points more than the previous draw for this category. The tie-breaking rule for this round was July 31, 2023, at 09:57:30 UTC. As of August 1, 2023, there were 211,529 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. This year, Canada issued 71,948 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.
