Ontario is the true beneficiary of the Express Entry. Since the launch of the system, Ontario welcomed more than 58% of all economic immigrants processed via Express Entry in the five years. The only two other provinces which may be regarded as the beneficiaries of Express Entry are British Columbia and Alberta, which attracted 18% and 12%, respectively. All other provinces combined accepted only slightly above 11% of immigrants. The final data by IRCC shows the following figures:

  • Alberta - 38,605 (12.43%)
  • British Columbia - 56,665 (18.25%)
  • Manitoba - 4,410 (1.42%)
  • New Brunswick - 5,465 (1.76%)
  • Newfoundland and Labrador - 810 (0.26%)
  • Northwest Territories - 170 (0.05%)
  • Nova Scotia - 10,645 (3.43%)
  • Nunavut - 30 (0.01%)
  • Ontario - 180,375 (58.10%)
  • Prince Edward Island - 2,290 (0.74%)
  • Saskatchewan - 10,875 (3.50%)
  • Yukon 120 - (0.04%)

In total, 310,465 foreign nationals immigrated to Canada via Express Entry between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2019
