On December 30, 2019, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) informed that the Parents and Grandparents Program will not reopen on January 1, 2020. IRCC stated that it is developing a new intake process for 2020. Further information about the expected launch date and 2020 intake process will be available in the new year.
