Children under 12 years can travel to or from Canada being unvaccinated and without getting a COVID-19 test. However, while travelling to Canada, parents whose children just turned 12 sometimes do not have enough time to provide vaccination to their children and find it difficult to decide how and when to travel. According to the travel requirements implemented by the Government of Canada, there is a 4-month exemption period for children turning 12, which allows them to travel without getting vaccinated. In addition, this period gives children enough time to receive both shots of the COVID-19 vaccine.
