According to the Statistics Canada Labor Market Survey, two months of growth in June and July 2021, totaled 325,000 jobs, which is a 1.3 percent increase comparing the pre-coronavirus February 2020 level.
For young men, the numbers are already at pre-pandemic levels, and the number of vacancies for women is also reaching pre-pandemic figures.
In general, part-time employment for young people grew by 62,000.
In July 2021, Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia added 95,800 jobs of which two-third were in Ontario only.
Unemployment in all these four provinces fell drastically to 8 – 8.5%.
